In this publication Delaware refers to the name of the Native American people known as Lenape, or Leni Lenape, or Delaware people, rather than the U.S. state. In terms of geographical scope, the book covers traditional homelands of the Lenape such as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, as well as areas that settler-colonialism displaced them to, such as Ontario, Canada and Oklahoma.
