This Byzantine treatise on gout underwent several editions between the 16th and 18th centuries. The translator Musurus worked with Aldus Manutius in the preparation of several editiones principes. The translation, for which the date of 1517 is usually assigned, was first published in the anthology of medical works written after Hippocrates and Galen issued by Henri Estienne in 1567.
