Further observations on Filaria sanguinis hominis.Med. Rep. Imperial Maritime Customs, China, (1878), Special series No. 2, 14th issue, 1-26, 1877.Manson showed that Wuchereria bancrofti, the cause of filarial elephantiasis in man, develops in, and is transmitted by, the Culex mosquito.
