Prausnitz–Küstner reaction. These workers demonstrated antibodies in the blood of persons suffering from atopic allergic diseases. They produced local passive sensitization by intracutaneous injection of serum from a hypersensitive subject. Prausnitz spent his later years in England, where he adopted the surname Prausnitz Giles.
